What To Do If You Have Not Received Your Stimulus Check Yet

According to a recent memo from the House Committee on Ways & Means, those who qualify for a stimulus check should expect to receive funds in the next few weeks if they have not yet received their money.

The IRS has been making rounds of payments based on information they have on file. The first round of checks went to those who already had direct deposit information on file from their 2018 and 2019 tax returns. The IRS stated that the next round of payments, "will be made to Social Security beneficiaries who did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019 and receive their Social Security benefits via direct deposit."

The agency has instructed people who are expecting a check or direct deposit to upload their direct deposit information to their Get My Payment tool. According to the memo, if a person fills out a form by Thursday of any given week, they should be paid the following week.

Many users have reported that the Get My Payment tool is frustrating to use. The Get My Payment FAQ page provides more information about what each payment status means.
