I grew up in a home where money wasn’t a frequent topic of discussion at the dinner table. My dad was a pastor, and while our needs were always met, it was my grandparents who sparked my early curiosity about money. As a child, I would stand by my grandmother, watching her navigate stock trades on her Fidelity brokerage account, fascinated. She would often look at me and say, “Simon, are we making money today?” The time I spent with my grandmother planted the seeds of wanting to learn how money works and how it can be wisely invested. From a very young age, I learned the importance of practicing deferred gratification, investing in my future self, and wise stewardship.
While I wasn’t the most athletically gifted student in school, I did excel in music. I spent 13 years studying classical piano, competing, and performing, and learned the importance of consistent discipline, patience, and how to perform under pressure. That love for music brought me to Liberty University, where I also began exploring entrepreneurship through music production by selling my own music online. Eventually, I felt God calling me in a different direction. After a conversation with the head of Liberty’s financial planning department, I realized financial planning was the perfect blend of my entrepreneurial drive, analytical thinking, and love for working with people. I graduated in August 2025 with a B.S. in Business Administration, Financial Planning, and Data Analytics.
During my time at Liberty, I gained hands-on experience in both the analytical and interpersonal aspects of financial planning. At Liberty, I served as a peer financial coach, where I worked one-on-one with students, helping them navigate essential personal finance topics, which included budgeting, debt management, credit, and the principles of investing. I also created my own “financial calculator website” to benefit both coaches and clients in meetings, bolstering education and exploration around financial literacy. I also completed an internship where I gained hands-on experience with client meetings, creating deliverables, and setting both qualitative and quantitative goals.
In August 2025, I joined Covenant Wealth Strategies as a Client Concierge. I’m passionate about helping others build lasting habits, both financial and otherwise, that move them toward their goals. I’m currently working toward my security licenses and plan to earn my CFP designation.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me creating or playing music, skimboarding at the beach, or on the court playing pickleball with friends.
