I was raised in a Christian home as the oldest of six children, and my parents showed me the value of hard work and stewardship from a young age. I have always held myself to a high standard of excellence and seek to honor God and serve people through every area of my life.
I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Voice Performance, while also working for a company that created trade directories. In this role, I created data consistencies and naming conventions to improve efficiency and form processes that I still refer to in my career today. After a few years, I made a career transition and began to manage a non-profit Christian bookstore that my father had started years prior. I worked there for 10 years and I ran everything from installing computerized information systems for digital inventory and ordering, to cultivating deep, meaningful relationships with customers and the local community – an impact far beyond simply selling a book. When my children were young, I stepped back from the bookstore and began to teach piano lessons which reignited my love for music and for teaching. After 15 years of recitals and hundreds of lessons in my private studio, I transitioned into a role at a global financial risk management firm where I worked in internal finance and later transitioned to support the private equity team. I built my technical skillsets and deepened my knowledge of the financial industry.
In February of 2020, I interviewed for a role with Covenant and within a few weeks I began as a Client Concierge where I supported advisors to serve our clients. In my current role, I lead our financial planning team, as well as manage our RMD and QCD internal processes.
My role isn’t just about numbers – it’s about tangibly impacting individuals’ lives and I am passionate about creating structure to set our clients up for success. One of the aspects that I cherish most about working at Covenant is the culture of excellence and comradery. I believe that competence breeds confidence and I thrive on building efficient processes and empowering team members to excel in their roles to benefit the entire team and serve our clients.
Outside of work, my family is at the heart of everything I do. My husband Matt and I recently relocated to New Jersey to be closer to our 6 grandchildren (all under 5 years old), which has filled our lives with joy. Matt and I love to take long walks together to explore new areas in nature, and I spend a lot of time playing piano, knitting, and enjoying other creative outlets.
