Apple recently announced and is urging all Apple product users to update their devices to fix serious security flaws.
The company credits an anonymous researcher for pointing out the vulnerability, which could be exploited by hackers. Apple has shared that the potential risk would expose the "kernel," otherwise known as the nerve center of Apple's operating system, IOS. Two other vulnerabilities affect WebKit, the web browser engine used by Safari and other apps.
The 14.4 Apple upgrade is for several generations of devices, starting with the iPhone 6. Software updates can be made to Apple devices by going to Settings/General/Software Update/Download and Install.
