Happy Labor Day From The Team At Covenant!
Every year, on the first Monday of September, Americans have continued to celebrate hard work in the best way possible - by taking a well-deserved day off!
Here are a few fun facts you may not know about Labor Day:
- The First Labor Day Parade: The very first parade took place in New York City on September 5, 1882, when more than 10,000 workers marched for fair working conditions.
- A National Holiday Since 1894: After years of local observances, Congress officially declared Labor Day a federal holiday in 1894.
- Why September?: Unlike many holidays, Labor Day doesn’t commemorate a single person or event—it was intentionally placed between Independence Day and Thanksgiving to give workers a much-needed late-summer break.
- Celebrated Differently Around the World: While the U.S. marks Labor Day in September, most countries honor workers on May 1st, known as International Workers’ Day.
At Covenant Wealth Strategies, we recognize the importance of hard work—whether it’s building a career, growing a business, or creating a legacy for future generations. As you celebrate this holiday, we hope you enjoy a well-deserved rest, time with loved ones, and a moment to reflect on all that your hard work has made possible.
Our office will be closed on Monday, September 1st. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 2nd.
As a reminder, please do not provide any trading instructions by email or voicemail as regulations prevent us from accepting/acting on such.
